I’m just wondering who the person(s) was, and what he/she saw that was “suspicious”.
I understand vigilance on the part of other passengers is a vital way to spot and prevent an act of terrorism or violence, but I really do think people take it too far. To me, Racial profiling sits in the middle of a very fine line between vigilance and racism. Please read the blog post by Shoshana Hebshi, one of the three and questioned for hours after a flight on September 11.
The sad truth is, minorities are the ones who are usually profiled. When will we ever be a society that can pass over skin color without fear or suspicion?
